Benefits.
HEALTH BENEFITS
The district's benefits are handled through SISC (Self Insured Schools of California). All employees and their dependents are eligible for health, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits. Employees have the option of paying life insurance coverage for dependents.
Confidential Management and Certificated employees, effective July 1, 2008, no longer receive a separate district contribution for insurance benefits; all consideration for insurance having been included in the salary schedules.
The District provides a maximum annual contribution of $9,314 per full-time classifed employee for insurance benefits. The district premium contribution is prorated for classified unit members regularly assigned to work at least four hours, but less than seven hours per day.
SICK LEAVE
Certificated Employees will be allowed one (1) day of sick Leave for each month worked with a maximum of ten (10) days Sick Leave annually.
Classified Employees will be allowed and paid at full salary to all regular employees on a basis of one day's Sick Leave for each month in which the employee is in paid status for at least one-half of the business days in that month. Notwithstanding the above provision, a unit member who is in paid status for at least 182 days in any school year shall accrue ten (10) days of Sick Leave.
