Welcome Back!

As we begin the 2012-2013 school year, please make sure to review the new class times included in this newsletter.  In order to ensure no loss of classes or programs for our students this coming year, we have switched to a seven (7) period day.  Each period has been shortened by 5 minutes to accommodate the additional period.  Also, we have said good-bye this summer to Mr. Van Ert our Assistant Principal, and wish him good luck.  We will not have an Assistant Principal this coming year, so any concerns or questions regarding discipline should be directed to me.

The school website continues to be the most up-to-date place to check for breaking school news....the school website address is www.yuhsd.net. You will find the school calendar, the daily bulletin, the monthly newsletter, and information regarding teachers, staff, and other activities happening at Yreka High School. Newsletters come out once a month with the most up-to-date information we have; however, our web page is often updated to reflect changes. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out lately, please do so, you may be pleasantly surprised.

We will continue the operation of the Aeries Parent Access program, and encourage all parents and guardians to sign up for access. This web-based program gives parents the opportunity to access their student's information, grades, and attendance.

As usual, the beginning of the school year is a busy time.  If you have any questions or concerns, we invite you to contact us.
